It takes more than just bears to make a good hunt.
a. Accommodations, you don't want to tent on the bare ground below zero. Nor do you need the Royal York that for whimps, Canoose has good clean comfortable log lodge , wood heat and a heck of nice shower facilities.
b. The grub. The restaurants could take a lesson. No steamed over veggies, flat tadders, stale bread here, you even eat if you not hungry and we have a pill to settle the tummy of the over eater's.
c. Proper guide and assistants who can also take care of your game, tracking, skinning and caping and freezing of the cape and meat.
d. Knowledgeable staff for information on customs, hunting regulations and game laws, hunting seasons,and gun registration info.
There is a lovely lodge handcrafted of logs with a stone fireplace which is the main gathering place.
All our buildings are heated with wood and are lighted with gas lights as there is no hydro. We have no telephone at the lodge by choice. If you need to make a call your cellular will work from the lodge provided you have a high power type.
We also have two cabins designed for four hunters each.
